This Les Paul hit the ground hard! woodfordinstruments.com I can't afford another gibson atm, but I don't want to go with an epiphone (can't get over the headstock shape). Is the issue that it isn't the exact same shape as a Gibson headstock, or that people find it inherently unattractive? Gibsons tend to retain their prices better, but there are also plenty of souped up, special edition Epiphone models that achieve prices closer to the Gibson range. Regarding additions and modifications, I would even go one further and say that, because it is an Epiphone and not a Gibson, I feel free to modify it, personalize it, decorate it, improve it, and play with it as I see fit, with no fear of losing the resale value because it's some sacred, holy cow with Gibson on the headstock.
